Sangeet Kendra was established in 1949 by Geeta Sarabhai Mayor, with the help and support of her family, to preserve and disseminate the aural tradition of Indian classical music. Over the last seven decades we have built-up an invaluable archive of Indian classical and folk music and have organised baithaks  and lecture demonstrations.

Our rare collection of archival material is available in select stores in India and will soon be made available online.
